Happy New Year to all! I hope you had well-deserved restful breaks and are back to work or ‘normal’ life with your batteries fully charged.
Time really flies. We’re already in the third week of the first month of the year. And I’ve already had three busy weeks, mainly launching my group prenatal yoga course in Bath. Here’s a brief overview of what’s been happening at Practice Wellness.
Group Prenatal Yoga in Bath (every Thursday at 6pm)
I’m happy with how things are progressing and pleased to report I have happy customers too! This is a 5-week course which started yesterday 18 January in Oldfield Park. Each week has a specific theme or focus i.e. flexibility, balance, strength and agility and we will be flowing with either moon or sun salutations. Our next class is on Thursday 25 January at 6pm. Learn more here.
Online World Healing Meditation (every second Tuesday of each month at 7pm)
This month, I also launched a monthly world healing meditation which takes place online. I feel it is so important to get together with likeminded people to create a positive energy / environment for all of us to live in. I believe that we are the creators of our reality. With today’s technology, we don’t have to go far to achieve this. We can meditate with others in the comfort of our homes! Our next session is on Tuesday 6 February at 7pm. Learn more here.
Mindfulness meditation at Bath Sports & Leisure Centre (every Sunday at 10.15am)
I facilitated a trial mindfulness session just before Christmas at the leisure centre with a fairly good turnout. Last Sunday, 14 January, we launched the first weekly mindfulness class. Interestingly, the next class is now fully booked! At these classes, we will use a variety of fun techniques to achieve mindfulness. I’m actually quite excited about introducing mindfulness to complete beginners and helping others develop a strong meditation practice. Our next class is on 21 January at 10.15am. Book your spot here.
Introduction to Coaching – Online Workshop (every two months, Tuesdays at 7pm)
This is a free 30-minute bite size workshop on what coaching is, its history and techniques for women who want to understand what coaching entails before hiring a coach, or are considering to become coaches themselves. I’ve received great reviews and will continue to offer it for free. However, it is a tricky when people fail to turn up – because they didn’t invest in it. This is the nature of free events, I suppose. I’ll see how it goes for now. Our next workshop is on Tuesday 23 January at 7pm. Book your spot here.
Values and Purpose Online Workshop (every two months, Tuesdays at 7pm)
This is a one-hour online workshop for women to help them clarify their values and purpose. The benefits are very much in line with mindfulness, i.e. living in the present, feeling purposeful, making better choices, having confidence in one’s abilities, taking responsibility for one’s actions, maintaining meaningful personal relationships, connectedness and a longer lifespan! Looking at the feedback I received for this workshop, I can confidently say that it would be worth your time, especially if you’re at a crossroads in your life. Our next workshop is on Tuesday 20 February. Book your spot here.
Yoga Theory and Practice Workshop (twice a year, Saturday afternoons)
Following the success of last year’s workshops, I will repeat the same thing this year. This workshop is for beginners and intermediates who are interested in learning about yoga philosophy, and are curious to know why we do things in certain ways in yoga. We will also practice vinyasa flow and yin yoga. I don’t have a date yet, but it will be in Bath, on a Saturday afternoon for 2.5 hours. If you are interested, please let me know and I’ll keep you informed when details are confirmed. Send me a quick message. In the meantime, you may be interested in the workshop programme.
Thanks for reading! As ever, feel free to comment below, or get in touch with any questions.
Have a lovely weekend!

Dear Sossi,
I was given your contact details by Judy Bowles.
I wondered if you have any regular yoga classes in Bath or Batheaston?
I would be pleased to hear from you if you have.
Best wishes
Penny.
