Whoop whoop! I’m delighted to announce that House of St Johns at 1 Queen Square in Bath city centre have agreed to host our sun salutations challenge session on Sunday 18 June to mark International Day of Yoga.
This is a stunning historic building with a lovely studio and windows overlooking Queen Square – bang in the centre of Bath. You can read more about House of St Johns here.
A few more details about this event:
Please note that it’s not suitable for beginners due to the number of sun salutations we will do (our target is 18). This is a typical vinyasa flow session where we move with every inhale and exhale.
Please bring your own yoga mat and water bottle. I will bring blocks and straps. You can help yourself to the water fountain in the room as well as hot drinks machine in the kitchen – all compliments of the house!
We will warm up before the salutations and stretch afterwards. You can of course rest in child’s pose or savasana anytime you wish. I encourage you to listen to your body at all times.
It is customary to chant mantras as part of Yoga Day celebrations, so we will take 5 – 10 minutes at the end for that. You are free to participate or listen to our chants or take your leave if that’s not your thing π All good.
It’s important that you arrive 10 minutes early so we can be ready to start on our mats at 4pm. Thank you.
Are you ready to take on the challenge and celebrate Yoga Day in style? Book now – we only have 9 places available!
See you soon, yogis! Sossi x
P.S. You will find some links on the workshop page if you would like to understand the significance of 108 sun salutations. Comment below if you have any questions!
