Theory & Practice Yoga Workshop

This workshop is for beginners and intermediates interested in deepening their yoga knowledge, ready to put an afternoon aside for their personal development and wellbeing with a small group of likeminded people.
I don’t yet have a date for this workshop. Please let me know if you’re interested (click on the button above). When I have enough people on the list, I will arrange a date and find a venue.

“This was the second afternoon workshop that I did with Sossi, and I enjoyed it just as much as the first one. The venue is ideal, and the room was set up in a way that created a welcoming and tranquil atmosphere. I appreciate the way in which Sossi is able to share her knowledge about the more philosophical aspects of yoga in a very clear and encouraging way. The workshop had an excellent balance of listening, doing and thinking, and Sossi made it feel personal to participants with different levels of yoga practice. Afterwards I left feeling energised and refreshed. The event was extremely well organised, and the follow-up websites are also useful and interesting.” Judy (Bath, 2023)
“A really lovely and relaxing Sunday afternoon workshop, which I highly recommend. The session was extremely well organised with all equipment and refreshments provided in a beautiful venue. It gave an insight into both Yin and Vinyasa Yoga, as well as the philosophy behind it, which has inspired me to want to learn more. Sossi is very professional and knowledgeable and I love her classes.” Lynne (Bath, 2023)
“I really enjoyed and learnt a lot from Sossi’s 2.5hr workshop. The session had an excellent balance of yoga philosophy and practice. It was very well organized and covered a lot of ground in the time, which seemed to go very quickly. Venue was great and equipment provided. The herbal refreshments and little welcome pouch were nice touches, too. I would certainly recommend the experience to anyone interested in getting a more holistic understanding of yoga practice.” Judy (Bath, 2023)

WHY: This workshop is for you if you want to gain a wider understanding of yoga. Asanas (poses) that we practice in the gym studio are only a small part of yoga, and as a result, not always the best mediums to communicate the higher purpose and impact of this 5,000 year old practice.
Come learn about the importance of your chakras, how and when to activate them, and how to ground yourself. Practice yogic breathing known as Anuloma Viloma to calm and balance the mind, learn the basics of yoga philosophy and its real purpose, and of course, practice vinyasa and yin yoga with a small group.
After our relaxing yin session, you will learn harmonic Sanskrit mantra chanting. It is said that the sounds in these mantras have been carefully put together by yogic masters in order to raise our vibrational frequencies. It feels truly magical when a group chants together.
I have no doubt that you will leave the workshop feeling refreshed, calm and in tune with yourself; and hopefully having made some new friends too.
Read and watch related content about the workshop (video), chakras, yoga philosophy, grounding and pranayama (yogic breathing).
