What is mindfulness meditation?

All classes are 45 minutes long (unless specifically stated) and for 1-3 people, because meditation is great when practiced as a group! If you would like to add more people, kindly let me know as the rates are different. You can book a free 30-minute consultation – click here to book. Alternatively you can contact me from my website. In-person classes can take place at your home, office or the park when weather permits. As such, the rates below do not include room hire. I have access to a suitable venue in central Bath at an additional cost with guaranteed availability and another suitable venue which is free to use but without the guarantee of your preferred date or time.

‘Living mindfully’ workshop

As an outcome of the weekly mindfulness meditation classes I had been facilitating in 2023 in Bath, UK, I will put together an online workshop on living mindfully – which will be open to everyone. This workshop will show how mindfulness techniques can be applied in everyday situations. This is often the missing link – between the concepts that we learn in class and their practical integration in the here and now. What is mindfulness meditation?

Mindfulness is the state of total awareness of the present moment. Mindfulness meditation is the use of a set of techniques to train the mind to focus on the now through breathing, mental imagery, self-awareness and relaxation. The benefits of mindfulness have been scientifically documented, and include stress and anxiety relief, improving heart conditions, lowering blood pressure and improving sleep. In general, mindfulness provides a sense of overall well-being.

I have experience of teaching mindfulness meditation to both individuals and groups for a number of years. You can book private meditation classes on Momence which will be tailored to your level and preference. You can add two more people to your class at no additional cost – meditation is great when practiced with likeminded people. Classes can take place on Zoom, in Central Bath or elsewhere in Somerset. If possible, please bring your own yoga mat, block or meditation cushion or stool. Alternatively, let me know so I can bring mats for you.
